HIMS believes you should not pay for the privilege to speak to the world, and now is proud to introduce HIMS Chat, a communicator application, free for all to download and available for iPad as well as iPhone and iPod touch.

What is "HIMS Chat"?

HIMS Chat is an application that allows a Deaf-Blind person and a sighted person to communicate using an iPhone, iPod, or iPad and a HIMS Braille product(Braille Sense U2, Braille Sense U2 QWERTY, Braille Sense OnHand or Braille EDGE 40).

What can I do with " HIMS Chat"?

*Do you have a Deaf-Blind friend or family member?
Download HIMS Chat to his/her i-device from the Apple App Store for free, and pair it with his/her Braille Sense or Braille EDGE. You can communicate in a way that is intuitive for both of you. You can even speak your messages to HIMS Chat using dictation on Siri enabled devices.

*Are you a Deaf-Blind user?
Approach a sighted person with confidence and easily start a conversation to ask for directions, order food, or just say hello.

*Do you have a favorite restaurant at which you always order a special dish? Or do you travel often and need to commonly ask for directions?
Enter built-in or common phrases of your own creation using just a few keystrokes.

*What if you need to return to a place for which you've previously received directions?
Save your HIMS Chat conversation and read it later to retrieve them.
