HIMS CANDY5 HD Ⅱ receives the 2015 Reddot Award

HIMS International, developer and manufacturer of assistive technologies for the visually impaired, was awarded the Reddot Design Award for the handheld magnifier CANDY5 HD Ⅱ.

The Reddot Design Award is one of the most internationally recognized awards of excellence, honoring innovations in the categories of product design, communication design and concept design. The judging standard is based on the design innovation, aesthetic, superiority, marketability and functionality. This year, 4,928 products from 56 countries were submitted for consideration of the Reddot Design Award. CANDY5 HD Ⅱ receives the 2015 Reddot Award in the category of rehabilitation, Life Science and medicine.

CANDY5 HD Ⅱ is a handheld magnification device which can help those with low vision view enlarged images of printed materials, photos, or other objects.
CANDY5 HD Ⅱ features a patented ergonomic, three-position handle, easily distinguishable buttons and a foldable reading leg on its underside to provide comfortable and intuitive usability for low vision users. CANDY5 HD Ⅱ also supports continuous digital zoom and definable color modes so that low vision users can set the device according to their eye condition and the material they are viewing. Its 5" wide screen HD display ensures a higher quality image and reduces eye fatigue.
